We've got some fresh, new login features out. Most notably, you can now login using either your username or your email address. You can also reset your password if you forget it.

Search Bar

We've added a search bar to the main navigation. You can now quickly find photos, by their name or description, by typing a keyword.

Portfolios

Photoramblr is very happy to announce a new feature which allows users to create their own photo portfolios. Users portfolio's are available at their own subdomain username.photoramblr.com. Users can easily control which photos are included in their portfolios.

Apple added to brands

While the quality of the camera featured on the original iPhone was negligible, the 4S is pushing the boundaries of camera technology in smartphones — point and shoots even for that matter. We feel that Apple deserves a spot in our list of possible brands as the iPhone 4S is capable of serving a very crucial role in a photographer's arsenal.

Upload Limit

To help maintain variety and visibility for your photos an upload limit has been introduced which restricts users to 1 upload per day.

Find Friends

A new page has been added which allows you to find friends more easily.

To access this page log in to www.photoramblr.com and click "Find Friends" under the "Community" drop down menu.

Beta

It's exactly 2 months to the day that I fired up Ruby on Rails and started building Photoramblr; seemed like an appropriate day to move it from Alpha to Beta.

All known bugs have been addressed — a small sample of invites have been sent — let's see how this thing works.

Initial release

Photoramblr is now on the interwebs! It's currently in Alpha as bugs are being worked out. Beta release shall soon follow.
