Huawei will be hosting a pre-IFA event on September 1st, where the brand is expected to unveil its new sub-brand called Nova. Recent reports have suggested that the new brand will be aimed at women. Today, Richard Yu, Huawei’s Device CEO, has teased the launch of two smartphones at the September 1st event. In addition, gadget tipster Evan Blass aka @evleaksreports that the company will be unveiling the Nova and Nova Plus smartphones, and the MediaPad M3 tablet at the event.
A few days ago, a new Huawei smartphone was spotted on the Chinese certification website TENAA, which is expected to be the Nova. The device will feature a 5.5-inch full HD display, encased in a gold, metal unibody chassis. It will be powered by a Kirin 960 SoC, aided by 4-gigs of RAM. The phone will offer 64GB of built-in memory, a 16MP rear camera, an 8MP selfie shooter, and a 3,500mAh battery. The Nova Plus is expected to be a bigger variant of the Nova.
As for the Huawei MediaPad M3, it is expected to be a mid-range tablet with a metallic design. Unfortunately, no other details regarding the slate are available at the moment. We will bring you more details from the brand’s event on September 1st, so stay tuned.
